The final workshop of the “Sport 4 Social Impact” project was held last week at the elementary school Nevena Georgieva-Dunja. The goal of the project was to promote sports and Olympic values among young people in North Macedonia. Sports is an excellent tool for personal development and its values and principles are useful in everyday life. Olympians Natasha Meshkovska and Puleksenia Jovanoska conducted the practical part of the event and shared their experience from The Olympic Games, highlighting the importance of the Olympic values that are essential for everyone’s sports career.
The project included three workshops in different municipalities in Skopje where prominent Olympians shared their experience and expertise as positive role models for future generations. The project will continue with additional events related to the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris 2024, to bring the value of the Olympic Games and the Olympic Movement closer to young people and encourage their greater involvement in sports activities.
‘’Sport 4 Social Impact’’ is supported by the French Cultural Center, the Embassy of France in North Macedonia, and the Macedonian Olympic Committee.
