Last month, we hosted a series of workshops with young people from sports communities and high schools, introducing them to the concept of Youth Placemaking. Through the Youth Balkan Placemaking project, we are engaging youth from Skopje in redesigning and enhancing public spaces to better reflect their needs and interests. This initiative empowers them to create more inclusive and accessible environments that truly serve their communities.

During the workshops, we listened to their perspectives, discussed the importance of placemaking, and explored the next steps in the process.

We are excited to announce that we will soon be launching interventions in Macedonia to develop public spaces for sports and recreation—designed especially for girls and women!
